Once again I saw another great piece, this time at a local coin show. It was a quarter struck on a penny planchet, and again I didn't buy. Oh well. I'm more interested in a 1827 half dollar anyway, but if that doesn't happen, theres a good chance ill see the same guy with the quarter/penny.

Was it certified, and what was his price tag?

I saw a regular dime with Ike dollar designs struck over it. That was one fun double-denomination!

I love Twenty Six cent peices, I could never buy one because I fear my wife would kill me, "You mean to tell me you paid how much for this QUARTER!"

Yes it was certified, the man wanted 900 which was average price in my opinion.

I had a cent on a Silver dime planchet a while ago that I purchased for only $400. It was ANACS AU-58 (or 55). I eventually sold it.
