This is your 2nd post on the same coin only with more photos. Check the replies on your 1st post. I should have mentioned this in my reply on the 1st post. You should watch some videos on how coins are minted. Then you'll see that it's not possible for this damage to have occurred during the minting process. If you want to see what real errors look like, and how they occur, browse through this site: http://www.error-ref.com/

IMO Both coins show Post Mint Damage (PMD).
I generally don't recommend YouTube videos about coins but this video is a must. Please watch it!
Then it will become clear why this couldn't occur during the minting process

All clad quarters (with VERY FEW exceptions) are worth 25 cents, face value.

Unless you have a superb mint state (MS66 or higher), a proof, or an SMS quarter of those years any coin you find is only worth face value.

Quarters before 1964 are silver and are worth melt value, generally.

So only if they an error rite theyll be worth more than face value

They key word in your question is if.

Yes, if there is some sort of error from when it was made (i.e. mint error) then it could very well be worth more. If there is damage sustained to the coin after it has left the mint, then it is worth only its face value.

The coin you posted in both of your threads is damaged by a washing machine, belt sander, hammer--who knows--but damaged nonetheless.

Some very good experts gave you their opinion on your 1st post. PLese look at t
Not only errors. High Mint State (MS 67 or higher) coins are worth a premium. Possibly even MS 66. PCGS, NGC, and many other sites have price guides. Browse through them to get a general idea of a coins value. Enjoy our hobby.

Actually Quarters before 1965 are silver. The 1964's are also silver and were the last year they were made of such material. 1965 was the first year they weren't silver anymore. This is also the same with dimes, half dollars and silver dollars. This is from my own knowledge, if any of what I've said is incorrect, please let me know.

I miswrote, I meant 1964 and before (inclusive of 1964).
    Thanks for catching the mistake
