Quarter Eagle False Advertising?

Discussion in 'Coin Chat' started by Cinderella Man, Jun 30, 2010.

  1. Up for sale, this person thinks a 1925-D quarter eagle has 8.359 grams of 'pure gold'. The coin only weighs about 4.18 grams (correct me if I'm wrong) and is made of 90% gold and 10% copper.

He says the coin is pure gold. It also says under the grade that it is a 'Perfect Coin' but not graded.

Is this stupid or what? I reported it because it is wrong information.
