So far in the modern era of commemorative coins (1982 - present) we have had eagle and half eagle gold issues of the same size and weight at the pre 1933 circulating coins. At first the price of gold allowed those half eagle coins to sell for less than $200, but now they are around $400. It would be nice if they tried quarter eagles with the same size and weight as the older coins so that sale prices could start back around $200 (like the recent gold Mercury Dime). Easier for more people to afford.

You can pick up a decent old one for around $240 sometimes. I've tried to convince @dcarr to make one... I would be all over that! If anyone agrees with me, send him a message asking him to..... maybe we can convince him!!
