quarter coin question Is this a first?

I have a trivial question on the new Jovita Idar quarter. Is this the first or only US Coin without any thing outside of a Reverse portrait?
Reason I ask is it sticks out so profusely until you magnify to reveal all the pertinent coined standards? Thanks DB

I think yes. The Gobrecht dollar had a date under seated liberty

 

Not a fan of this one. From a design standpoint, way too busy. The subject should be potrayed without all the words explaining who she was. As to the question, not sure without further research.

 

There are words all over the reverse.
