1943 Q cc51, thanks for your interest, found '43 Q in roll from local bank.I have just begun to understand how to post images and hopefully understand how to contribute actively, and sensibly to this site. PS:also found 100+ wheat cents in the"rejected coin" slot at my local bank...a good day!!
Man! You da man! I need you to search rolls for me lol! I have never found any silver in rolls. Only once did I find a silver quarter and it was a pretty worn 1962 quarter at a laundromat. After that, nothing. Although, I do do quite well in finding errors on quarters and cents. Any good dates in the wheats? Pheonix
silver quarter. I got my fingers pretty dirty befor finding that silver quarter.I am new at this and have not examined the wheats closely.None have mint marks...looks like the earliest :1916,18,19, many in the mid 20s, and 40s.I am not quite sure of what to look for yet..but I am reading some recommended literature..Would you recommend some good cent errors to focus on?You mentioned laundromat...a sad note..while living in NY 20 years ago a neighbor who owned 2 laundromats had several 33 gal barrels of coins in his basment only to be unfortunately damaged by a total house fire in frigid March temps where there was 3 feet of frozen water /ice in the basement which did not thaw for quite a number of weeks. As a youngster I sold newspapers on the street at a nickel a pop but never saved any of those ..the distributor collected the coins and always paid me in bills..2- 3 bucks was a good night...60 years ago!!The best tippers were the Mohawk Indian iron workers who lived in Brooklyn Monday to Friday and on weekends returned to Canada.
