Hi I have put most of my older and nice notes it mounts for paper money, the only problem is that I think that the mounts are made out of pvc; they do not smell... at all but when I look at them at an angle I can see that purpley-blue-redish-yellow soapy looking film; sorry if that's hard to imagine I can't find a better way to eplain it. Also what makes me think that these sleeves are made out of pvc is that at a recent coin show I went to, a dealer had some paper money in sleeves but the sleeves were now very yellow and brittle.

    Thanks for any help

Penny... if you are not sure and you want to protect the Paper, I suggest that you purchase some Mylar-D Sleeves to hold your notes.

    Good luck.

But, you're probably not going to find "Mylar-D" currency sleeves. Recommended archival polymer sleeves are:
