I have an album and the pages are made of PVC. My coins are in PVC free flips before being put into the album. Do i have anything to worry about? stainless
Stainless, here is an alternative I have found. PVC free 3 ring binders are available from Avery, and I have found them at Walgreen's Drugs store ( bought mine there on sale this summer as school was coming soon) They say PVC free on the cover. Probably other brands also. As for pages, non PVC pages are usually made of thin plastics and a lot of people don't like it because it is flimsy feeling. Mylar pages are available, but expensive. As a bargain, I found package of non pvc archival pages at the local 99cent stores. It is 9 pocket "Trading Card Holders" for baseball cards. ( 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 ). I bought them because my NGC, ANACs, ICG slabs fit nicely, PCGS are tight, but also go in! 2x2 saftflips and the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 saftflips fit also. 10 sheets cost .99 . Brand name is Bazic. made in China. Jim
Thanks GDJMSP, I kinda thought they'd be smarter than that but I had to ask anyhow. Boy, I'll never memorize your ID Name. lol Anyway, the plastic cases seems very susceptable to minor streaks and scuffs no mater how gentle I handle it when I try and clear a smear with my cotton glove. Thanks, enough said. zg:goofer::hammer:
