Not to be a hater on the coin, but are those scratches under "united states of America" on the reverse? If so how did it get a MS-65?

Nice coin though, I shouldn't be complaining because I'd love to own something like that.:kewl:

He picked it up on E-Bay, Seller is Greattoning. Hey Jack, what do you think he is going to do in October. He doesn't accept paypal, do you think he will fold up shop.

If he does, that will be two of my biggest toned coin sources that I have lost in the same year. Anaconda was the first to go.

    Howdy AJ,
    Mighty purdy Lincoln!
By the way, is that doubling I see on the reverse left wheat stem and the 'U' of United?
I think I might be going crazy here... seeing double everywhere I look...

There is some nice toning on that one. And I see a shadowy impression of the bust on the reverse, I believe that is called 'progressive indirect design transfer'.

Sorry! I am not looking for a 32. I just hope your "cherry pickin" continues into Tuesday. Heritage has a bunch of Lincolns I want.

This one has truly beautiful toning. Right up my alley.

It could be the pics, but the rim looks wild.

Nice coin Jack! Thanks for sharing!!

Stainless, excellent question. This is where Lehigh's threads come in....toning, grades, stars , etc etc.

Lehigh has really posted some great threads, I could have saved this one for something similar had I been thinking instead of jazzed at the buy.

This coin has a dinger on the forehead ( worst case scenario, best case is lint or slab scratch) , a cpl spots and some issue under America, good eye and your learning !!

    Maybe thats why no star?
    Maybe a 64 that " popped" ?
    Maybe it's better in hand?
    Maybe pics are misleading?

Time will tell, all I have seen is what we all have seen...a picture

Thanks for the kind words Jack, I appreciate it. With regards to this coin, I think it is very possible that it is an MS64 that was bumped up to a 65 for the outstanding toning & eye appeal. The mark on the forehead appears to be more severe than the marks on the reverse. Also keep in mind that the reverse photo was taken at an angle which could make those marks appear worse than they actually are. The marks not withstanding, the biggest distraction I see on this coin is the very prominent spot on ABE's shoulder
