    Bought this for $18 shipped on ebay because I had bought a couple other coins from the same seller that I was mostly pleased with. As soon as I flipped the coin over I knew it was rare, though when I purchased it, I had no idea it was a variety. A quick search revealed that PCGS has only ever certified five of these in all grades. No clue what it is worth, but here she is: FS-1401/1902 Obverse and Reverse Die Clash. Cherrypicker's Guide says $900 in MS60 and $1500 in MS63 BN, but I can't grade this thing. The strike is so muddied up due to the clashing. Has great luster and original red in the protected areas, but 3 hairlines across the reverse, which indicate circulation. Anyway, this is the first one of these I have ever found. So cool how the letters are visible in the rim dentils of the obverse!

    @TypeCoin971793 ... AU58? MS62? 63? I haven't got a clue with that muddy strike.

    physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

    At this point, I'm going to not guess on your coin's grade. I'd say AU-55, but it's probably going to come back as MS-67, knowing your recent luck.

    Congrats man. Hey, dumb luck usually beats any other kind. At least you had the knowledge to know what you lucked into.

    For grade, I would think it would hang on how much of the missing "WE" is due to clashes versus any wear.

    I thank dumb luck all of the time. A couple of years ago bought a group of 30 small greek silver for $550, then a friend of mine recognized 6 Thasos coins in there, valued $200-300 each. I didn't even notice them. :(

    I can’t tell without it in hand. Are there any luster breaks?

    Luster is very nice on her. But the wreath and 2 digit on the reverse seems to show wear/no luster. I suspect this will come back MS62, but I have no idea.

    Right? (No chance, really) but I told my wife I need to go buy some lottery tickets ASAP.

    Awesome coin. I never seen a clash so far off-center.
