Proposed 2012 Native American Dollar Designs Revealed

    In the link above, CoinWorld reports that the Commission of Fine Arts examined several designs for the 2012 Native American dollar. The theme for next year will be "The Spread of the Horse" across the country.

    The design on the left side of the photograph is a cut above the 2011 design, which is very bland, in my opinion. Also, I like how "United States of America" is near the rim of the coin, similar to "Liberty" on a Buffalo nickel. I do hope this design gets the final approval and will be the one used for next year, as it will be the best-looking coin in the series and possibly one of the best coin designs of the decade.

    I think they should listen to Pamela Nelson. More time is needed to consider these designs......
