It has been doubled struck. It did not properly eject and the edge was struck by the Die a second time. Shame about the wear.
Just double struck.. not doubled. That is only used when describing a Doubled Die. I don't know about the IHC in question. Could be Broadstruck but I'm not sure.
It's a damaged cent, not a double strike or a partial blockage. Another coin was simply pressed into this coin at 6:00 on the reverse. See the flattened area from this occurrence on the opposite side. It's a damaged coin, not an error of any type. Sorry......
Now that you mentioned this I believe I see 2 letters on the reverse. They are indented and not raised. Thank you for the correction Fred.
