i have some single proof coins in those plastic packages that i bought from littleton and i was wondering if i took them out of the plastic if it would ruin the value of the coin? Thanks Steve
Steve, There is no extra value because it is in a Littleton package take them out if you like. Bruce.
Michael, You just made this old man laugh big time thanks.:high5: next time don't be gone so long.:hail: Bruce.
Hey Bruce, Sorry about the absence. To many plates in the air right now I guess. As far as the Littleton comment goes, I was quasi serious. In comedy there is a saying that the true stuff is always funniest. I live by that.:thumb: All goofiness aside Scubasteve500, if you want to deal with Littlefun coins you go! I did for a year or so? So long ago I can't remember. It does not matter where you get coins, only that you like the coins you get. Wow, I think I'll write that down for later! Michael
well i have had those coins for about three years now i havent bought from littleton for bought 2 years now they are way to expensive
When I started collecting I soon learned of Littleton and quickly learned of their marketing strategy. I feel for those who, because of no fault of their own, deal with Littleton because it is the only source they have. I would get those beauties out of the plastic and into a proper display for the eye to behold. Have fun!!
There is an advantage to leaving them in the small Littleton blister packs. While their prices are steep, Littleton only sends quality stuff. If they say they're sending you a 1922 Peace dollar in XF...that's exactly what you get. An original coin with no rim dings, never cleaned, etc. They are very picky buyers. Thus, coins in Littleton packaging are very easy to sell, in my experience. Nick
