It looks like your quarters have a Denver mint mark. Proof state quarters should have the San Francisco mint mark. I am more inclined to think your quarters have been plated. There were many vendors plating state quarters for various curio sets. And a plated quarter can give that mirrored field proof look. If plated it would be only be worth face value. The presidential token is not a coin. It is a medal. I would defer to someone that is experienced with medals to comment on that for you.
The quarter on the left indeed appears to have been plated (chromed- in other words, altered outside the mint, and not a proof). It is worth face value (25 cents), as is the other. As @Randy Abercrombie mentioned, the Denver mint did not strike proofs. I can see why the extra shininess of the chromed piece caught your eye. But real proof mirrors have an entirely different appearance. That coin was treated with a process similar to the way chrome car trim pieces are. The Obama medal might be proof, or prooflike. That doesn't add any special premium with medals, when a particular issue was all made that way. But it can be attractive. To get an idea of the value on that, I would search eBay auctions, including a search for ones that have actually sold.
The coins are from the Denver mint so they are not proofs. Shiny as it was plated. The Obama is not a coin but a medal. Obviously new so a buck or two would be about it.
The Obama medal would not be made by the u.s. mint but some other company. The mint would not make one unless the president has passed, but many other companies would. No Idea who made it though.
Wow, so is it only for monetized coinage or something? I never knew they made medals for living presidents and thought from they not doing living presidents or living first spouses for those two series so I had assumed it was a mint rule across all products.... learn something new every day time to go look up what they've done for the living ones still for medals.
Check out the US Mint web site under Presidential Medals. Only in bronze. Medals are okay to have living presidents but not coins.
It's amazing how many medals the US mint has made over the past 200+ years. Some really cool works of art.
