Does anybody know any good proof set suppliers? My friend is starting up an ebay store and he asked me to tell him if I found any. thanks
The US mint is the only supplier of proof and mint sets. The rest of us dealers have to either buy there or on the open market. Now the mint does offer a 5% discount on very large orders. This is done through proper channels at the mint, so don't expect that service to be completed easily. The mint usually isn't the easiest to deal with. Yes you can save about two dollars on each set, over buying on the open market, but that is it. Shipping and handling still apply.
We still got our discount as of April 10th. I have heard that the mint is discussing ending the program. But that news happens several times a year.
