I don't know what it is about Seated Liberty Proofs that I like so much, and I can't typically afford much in the way of same, but I did pick this one up today on auction for about $350, which I thought was terrific. 1000 Minted. I don't have a collection of any of the Seated Proof series, does anyone have a recommendation for a relatively affordable set to put together? I've got a type set - Seated Liberty half dime, dime, quarter, half and dollar, so that's a start.
Variety 4 of Liberty Seated is going to be very costly. The 1871-CC in grade G-4 is going to run you Approximately $2700, the 1872-CC $1500. There are several others that run in the high hundreds.
