This '69 proof cent has an RPM. IGWT is doubled. And it has the doubled earlobe.

The RPM is S/S way north. The first S looks like a halo on top, but the bottom curve can be seen inside of the bottom curl of the main MM, which also looks doubled. If you get the "INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT SHOW THIS PAGE" message, click refresh. Then to enlarge the photo just click on it.
    I wonder what i'ts worth.

Proof coins are struck more than once but this is mechanical.

This coin has strike or mechanical doubling - Remember most proofs are struck twice also that could account for some of the "doubled effect" - but we have seen this type of slightly doubled coin very often - to be a doubled die, for most classes there would need to be extra thickness and splits in the bottom or top "ends" of the serifs. (IE: not generally and perfectly aligned) north and south as you coin exhibits.

My thanks to theNoost, and bhp3rd. I'm convinced it's MDD or mechanical doubling. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but does this rule out hub doubling?

    Yes, but

Yes but - it is 99% sure (without seeing the coin) that it is only mechanical doubling but I would have to see the coin to be sure.
There are very rare doubled dies with mechanical doubling also. I believe the 1969-S DDO-001 found last year in Mich. that Ken Potter wrote up had mechanical doubling along with the massive DDO.

I do see possible Die deterioration doubling on the E of we ,and noticed on the T of trust it's more visible on those letters ,doubling on both sides of the letter a clear indication of DDD I know this type of doubling is quite rare on proof coins The MM looks like it too

The ear does appear doubled that;s questionable even through the image appears raised.could be a doubled ear but, i doubt it. I know it's possible for the coin to have different forms of doubling on it
they can co exsist on the coin

I would not make a quick conclusion on this specimen this one needs to be looked at in person.Like Bhp3Rd said.

    thanks Jazzcoins joe
