Proof 1864 Small Motto Two Cent Piece~

As many here know I like Two Cent Pieces.

Oh, did I mention that it's a silver COPY (as clearly marked on the reverse)? 2 ounces of silver and larger than a REAL silver dollar. I bought it years ago.

Still, it is a nice representation of a Small Motto.

Dan, You almost had me! The first pic I looked at I was thinking to myself that there is no way a 2cent proof has that much cameo appearance... almost like a modern proof look, but then I thought if anyone knows 2 cent pieces its you and chalked it up to awesome photog skills. Then looked at the second pic and it explained everything..... of course if I just scrolled down far enough I could have read the rest of your post. Still nice piece to have, especially for you.

The obv. fooled me too! A nice way to preserve a large chunk of silver, they couldn't have picked a better design, imo.

I really like this. I have a similar piece. It's a silver copy of the 1856 flying eagle cent.
