    Hello,

I have this coin graded by NGC:

    Coin Description: 1990 S DDO 5C FS-101 Grade: PF 70 ULTRA CAMEO

This coin has been described as Rank#60 of 100 Greatest US Modern Coins. I found no
auction record of a PF 70 Grade of this coin although there are records of PF 69 Ultra Cameo. According to my understanding ( may be wrong) only 2 PF 70 FS-101 have been graded by NGC and none by PCGS. So at this PF 70 grade would this particular coin be regarded as somewhat rare. Could any of you give me some idea of any potential value of this PF 70 DCAM Grade.

    Regards,

    Shyamal

"I have this coin..."...so you own it, correct...? If so and you don't mind me asking, did you buy it, or how did you come to own it...? Can you provide/post any photos...and incl the holder info...pretty much a requirement around here to best evaluate and answer questions...not that we can answer this one of authenticity and value. Thanks.

Looks like it could be worth more than a couple dollars. SmartSelect_20210626-160322_CoinFacts.jpg

Photo or not, there is absolutely no way to project the future value of a coin. Thirty years ago I couldn’t have dreamed the values being brought by error coins. Ten years ago I couldn’t have dreamed the values being brought by toned coins. And compounding all that is the fact that the coin market has been anything but predictable in recent months. This hobby goes through fads and changes more often than a teenage girl. I wouldn’t dream of guessing at a coins future.

    PCGS has a listing.

But as time goes by more of the population show up / are discovered and usually the price goes down more often than up. Halves are not the most desired group of coins. If you intend to sell it, the best time may be now, perhaps it pays off.

    Hi Mac MacDonald,

Thanks for your response. Yes I own this coin. After my Canadian TPG attributed this coin as a FS-101, I sent it to NGC for attribution again and it turned out to be a real
gem. I would try to send a photo of the slabbed coin - having some difficulty at the
    moment.

Hopefully you can get some descent photos of the coin, Proofs can be tricky.
Just going off the auction results of the two sold It seems you would have been better off sending it to PCGS it is hard to give a value for something that has never been sold.
@Lehigh96 might have an thought on this coin.

There is slight fattening of letters on Liberty and date.
IGWT shows some nice notching and separation lines.
