This piece was stuck over a New Haven, Connecticut token. It's hard to read, but the reverse says, "For God, for home and native land, the saloon must go." The rest of prohibition pieces are political buttons. For Prohibition: "Being a Camel" met that you were a "dry" who was in favor of Prohibition. Anti-Prohibition This fancy enameled pin was distributed by a well to do lady's group, WONPR - Women's Organization National Prohibition Reform Finally, Franklin Roosevelt quietly ran to repeal Prohibition, at least for light wines and beers. It was not an issue that he pushed hard because the economy was far more important. The buttons that mention it use the word "repeal." This is a scarce button. For those who are interested in Prohibition buttons, political items dealer, Tom French has written a magazine style, softcover book on the subject.
