Recently, I tried to sign on with VAMWORLD 2.0. I had my username and password, but then, in an effort by VAMWORLD to avoid "robot" sign on, they gave me this: "Look at the word in quotes to complete your "registration" and enter the second, sixth, and penultimate letters thereof: The second and sixth letter was easy, but I could never get the "penultimate letters" correct. I have a undergraduate degree in accountant and am a CPA, plus I have a degree in computer science. My wife has her undergraduate degree in education and a Masters degree in English. She also taught in high school for 35 years. Neither of us could figure out what the penultimate letters are. We researched it in Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary as well as google, and could never get it right. Can I get any help from you folks?
That is correct. It has been effective at thwarting spambot registrations. Those real people that were inadvertently thwarted and were interested in signing up sent an e-mail to the admin (me) and got the answer.
I always enter the Coin Week drawing and noticed that they have stopped requiring people entering to complete a subtraction problem...is this an indication of education getting worse...
