I may have posted this coin but the purpose today is to get comments about the silver process. Many ancients have a very light silver wash but his one seems to have a thicker silver plating. Were there two different processes?

A lot has to do with how the coin was in the ground and also how it was cleaned. I have some where the bronze has degraded under the silver wash. This left the silver wash as a shell above the bronze beneath. If this coin has then been harshly brushed then you can simply lose this silver.

    Look at this example:-

The silvering from the highest points has simply gone....
