    Did you "contact the seller"?

I think the seller is living in his own little fantasy world: he thinks the coin is really an MS-68 since the bottom-feeder grading company FSG says so. PCGS and NGC might say something different. PCGS Price List does say a 1955D dime in MSFB-68 (I'm not even sure what FB is) is worth $5800, but it has a population of one; now there's two since FSG found one. :D

You just beat me by a little Fred !! PCGS does list that dime MS-68 FB I think they are refering to the reverse strike and the torch detail specifically the bands on the torch handle to be valued at this price, but most would believe that the PCGS price guide is a marketing tool and as such is a bit inflated for actual values. However having said that the population report is altogther another thing and with only one achieving this grade it would be a fairly valuble coin.

The person selling this particular coin however does not mention the reverse FB designation,, I would be very careful and ask for a closeup reverse photo of this coin if I was interested in it .

It is by FSG--I would be very careful about that....
FB means the bands like on the dimes 1916-1945 they have FSB well on the back of dimes 1946-date the bands much be split to get the FB on the slab...I have only found a few FB dimes when I have looked.

BTW, this seller sells a LOT of FSG-"graded" coins. If one were to check his current listings, every single coin (not the rolls, of course) is graded by FSG, many near or at top-pop. Makes me wonder if jtb-coins is not one and the same as First Strike Grading.

Hmmmm. Perhaps if I submitted some of my AU Morgans to him, maybe he'd upgrade them to top-pop so I could sell them at MS-68 prices and buy that 50' sailing yacht I covet...

I say this "READ HIS DESCRIPTION LITERALLY" And I quote "NOTE: If getting the coin professionally graded it may be out of it's original container"--So what are you telling me?? This slabbed coin was not professionally graded?? This is a joke peeps -- :p Stay away--
