    comparison and prediction

    mintages - not final

    2004 proof set 1,804,396
    2005 proof set 2,167,686

    2004 silver proof 1,187,673
    2005 silver proof - 856,853

    2004 mint set - 844,485
    2005 mint set 1,176,554

    2004 am eagle 812,299
    2005 am eagle 748,401

note: 22 coin for mint set and 11 coin for proof or silver proof were not be comparison against 20 & 18 coin for mint set and so forth. they were be only two years for comparison. as you can see for the result of 20 coin only and or 18 coin only and so forth. beside that 2005 silver half and dime were so little as compared to other. that's only my estimation and prediction. as i said before. you can predict you own.

Why is your prediction for the silver proof set so high?

I don't see why anyone would predict anything....that is risky and when you are wrong people tend not to trust you much after that.

    prediction is not bad

i have been predicted stock market for many years. people tend to call me analyst. but i am not. when a group of people predicted something. and look it up and further analyze it. the average will be a almost true result. and it's fun. try it. and let see what it will happen in the future.

p.s. check the previous one that i have added and edited.

With somethings that is great...but coins...that is a hit and miss thing.
Nobody knows what will go up and what will go down...they don't know if the bottom of the market is going to fall or if its going to hit the moon.

    price prediction

speedy, i think you are very conservative. anyway, nobody really know the future. that is why we use prediction. just like the weather report. sometimes it is correct and sometimes it is wrong. but, many people need prediction. because they don't know which way to go. in order to have a peace of mind. they tend to ask someone for information.

I've never found any value in making predictions. Predictions about the future prices of stocks and coins only serves to make fortunetellers look good. In the end, the best it can do is provide a false level of confindence, which isn't desirable.

Analysis is a completely different situation. It is indespensible for both investing and collecting. If you can't tell the difference between analyzing and predicting, then you are probably predicting.

The weather report???.....how many people put money or invest money in the weather report....these "guess's" make people buy coins and invest in coins that they think might go up...when there is no proof.
I agree....history is a good point to look at and we all should and see what is going on in the market but if you look at history the market should be about readdy to drop.
I think that there is history showing the 1909-S VDB going up...but that doesn't mean that it will keep going up.
If someone would sell a few rolls or such of 1909-S VDB's the price would go down.

Spider.....I didn't say that the PF sets would go for $120...I don't think they will....
As for the vacation...I do need one but I think I would much rather go deer hunting!
