So on the obverse you can see the letters cents under Abe's bust struck what I'm thinking is a strike through, I can't tell if those extra lines around the upper ear is 100 doubling, so thoughts on that would be sweet, but when you look on the memorial building you can see there's two of them and one has been rotated so I'm thinking this is also a rotated die error, with the 2 full complete Lincoln memorial building on the reverse.. Again feel free to pass any other info you see going on with this coin to me with a slight explanation so I can see it "real time" Also this coin will be having a date with some acetone!
Sorry to burst your bubble. But that's not a mint error. Soak it in the acetone like you mentioned and the dried adhesive with the image of another cent will come off. There's some dried adhesive on the Obverse also. Lincoln's bust on the bottom. Incused and backwards lettering is evidence of other Cents impressed into the adhesive then removed
Fun to find, it's a kick to the overbeating heart, that you might just might, have that one of a kind coin. I am 10 years into it, and have yet to find that ultimate one of a kind coin.
Or, it could be a vise job. The imprinted words seem to appear reversed. I "mirrored" the image below:
I reversed one of the OP's pix of the coin. The word "Cent" in my images is now reversed but the words "Pluribus Unum" are now not reversed.
Hard to tell from the pics, but definitely PMD. It's either glue or adhesive, as mentioned above, or another cent whacked on top of the original coin, impressing backwards lettering and design. A garage job.
I'm actually seeing what they are seeing, indicating glue or adhesive. There's a line around the entire area. This would be the glue or adhesive line. Something like transparent hot glue.
