Hey guys! Just picked up a pretty sweet error coin - wonder if you guys could "guesstimate" a value for me? I see similar ones in eBay completed listings for $15-20.
That off center with the date and mintmark still showing is more scarce. Most off centers on Lincoln cents are worth a few dollars(1-3ish range), I agree with Hobo.
I believe there is a scratch near the date. At first it appears to be some kind of die break but it looks like a pretty nasty gouge under a loupe. I think it's worn enough to look like something else. Plus, I think the raised area where we are thinking it's a D mint mark is just the end point of this gash. Shucks! Oh well, it's still a fun error....
