Fred. I really didn't want to step all over that other members thread, so here's the best I could do. Not really my best in a hurry I guess. As you notice this is a nice 2010 P Abraham Lincoln, the edge of the rim still has distinctive slope. Shows signs of a lot of circulation where. Let me know what you think Fred. USMC60
Sorry, but I don't see anything wrong with the edges in your photos.... Is the the one you thought might be a weak edge lettering?
Fred the photo that I showed you on the other thread, I just asked your opinion of it. It was the other member that was claiming to be a light impression. All I know Fred is looking at the one I showed you, which will label Lincoln B. and I look at Lincoln A I do see a difference, seems to be a stronger impression but that's just me.
There's damage/a scrape, past the '10' on the two photos on the right side, above. The 'extra' L on the left photo - I see it, can't explain it from the photo only, but it's not an error, imo. Probably some type of contact with something, but it's not a doubled edge lettering coin, from your photos.
I agree - it's an anomaly. There is such a thing as the coin being caught in the edge letering machine, and for example, having a wider 'blank' space between the letters or digits, or sometimes if it jams slightly, a letter or two might be doubled. This could be the case here, but I can't tell from the photos. In any case, it's nothing of significance, imo - not worth slabbing/certifying. sorry for any confusion I had or caused!
