Good evening, after a night of roll hunting dollar coins this was one of the first coins i found. I suspected it to be a strike thru but really wasn't sure especially since the strike thru in question is not over any field of design. I had brought it up in a recent post with one person saying it looks like one and another saying it doesn't so i am at an odds at the moment.

    So what do you say?

You can see where metal is pushed up along the edge (crater effect) to the east and south of the largest impression and on the north side of the narrowest part. If it had been a strikethrough, the die would have prevented this from happening. You can also see a scrape below the largest portion which suggests that maybe something slid across the coin either before or after making the impression. I think it is PMD.

Wow thanks Chris...I honestly did not notice the raised area but i took out the coin just to check and indeed it is raised a teensy weensy bit. Oh well thank you for the input! My eyes aren't quite as sharp as I thought.
