Hey All, This was in a coin roll when they first came out, I don't think there is anything listed for this one, but there is always hope
I don't normally look at the dollar coins, because they are a dollar a piece, but I had these from a while back, LOL. With the way new lettering works and that I am still a newbie got to ask before it goes in the arrowhead bottlle.
A lot of them always do post in, but around five am my time, since I posted so late (West Coast). Ty for looking and posting!
never hurts to get many more opinions. we have machine doubling experts in here. and doubled die experts in here too. they can tell you more as they come in.
Yikes no other replies if MD or not, was hoping Rick or Non cents would say anything. In Vegas for a few days can't wait to get back to coin searching!
Wow spirityoda what happened? This is a first, no others said anything. Do you think this MD? I added some crazy arrows by my phone app, I am not at home I am in Vegas, so I have no PC.
This possible doubling is also on Grant, figured if the others said MD on these, I would not bother trying to get those pictures.
I am seeing MD also, besides the Grant $ , issued in 2011 during the single squeeze die production era, doubling usually is more in the center and not as apparent as this. The "S" in the photo is a good example of MD, flatten secondary image, no split serifs, etc. The USB cameras usually have no user control over the light source, and the glare/reflection on the edges produce a similarity to doubling which can be very confusing as the light ( LED) and the lens are usually on the same plane. Thank you guys very much!!!! I did worry about the lighting issue with some that I had looked at, but I use a loop first. If I see anything then I used my new toy. It captured pretty much what I saw. Again thanks everyone very much!!!!!
