premium in gold coin

    i have a 1991-1995 $5 gold WWII 50th anniversary coin and my local coin dealer said there was some premium in it and am new to collecting and have no idea what that means. any help?

    blackstar:
    He means a price above the actual gold value of the coin.
    A premium would be because it has a lower mintage, is very popular, etc.
    Any price above melt value is a premium.
