I look in the redbook and do not see any listings for the green box proof sets from 1994-1998, is there any premium on these sets? Supposedly some folks say the coins in those sets are pretty valuable but I don't know if thats true or not. So what is the opinion amongst our experts. I just bought a 1994, 1995, and 1996 green box proof set lot for $30 and have a feeling I may have overpaid. They are all original with the original COA's. Thanks for the help everyone!!!!
1994 - Average price of about $8-$10 1995 - Average price of about $10-$15 1996 - Average price of about $5-$7 Add that up and you should have paid anywhere between $23-$32. You did okay, but could've done better, but if you bought all three sets from the same buyer, it takes some of the stress out and you are only worrying about one package. I think sometimes, saving some of the hassle is worth a tad more. Especially if it is shipped quickly and protected and you have a very professional seller. (All that being said, assuming you bought the coins online)
They're in there. Look for the listing just above the the Prestige, Silver & Silver Premier sets. It's on p. 325 of the 2008 book, so they should be close by. Chris
And to think, at one time the 1995 set was around $100 a set. (2006 Redbook lists it at $80 and that's down from their high. 2006 is the most recent Redbook I have.) It used to be all of the sets in that date range were bringing in the $40 to $100 range. Now they are below issue price.
