At this level of grade I only expect a best opinion, I tried to enhance every character of the coin in the images. Thanks
They all look %100 perfect at first but im not seeing it.There are some issues so 68-69 still a nice coin. The big money is the 70 but its your choice to get it certified,I wouldn't.
Those two photos shows a problem so not a 70. Probably a 68 DCAM. I personally would not send it in for grading.
TU guys, I would also expect a 70 to be flawless. It's just that ... This is a PCGS 70. I can pick out a few details on this one too. I know there are different types of imperfections and from what I understand, at this level, it's all about whether or not the distractions are post mint or not. I would have sent it in if you guys said good chance but I did not expect that because of 1-the strike on the neck and 2- the wear on the collar rod tops.
The close up appears to maybe be a mint defect because I have seen a few now with marks in the same spot under the jawline.
I'll be honest, it's a gamble, and will come down to how the graders feel that day. if PR69, worth $10. if PR70 DCAM worth about $150 I think it might pass for a 70, or get a 69, but in the end is it worth it really either way? if patient enough you might find one already graded PR70DCAM for around $60-$70 and not have to gamble on it at all.
I dunno eBay being eBay I see $150 tops and pretty available maybe at that point in time though. I thought we were talking about PR70 though, not MS, MS is another game entirely.
The Records are high but those are years ago the prices back an 2007-10 aren't happening anymore to with over a 100 population from PCGS. Today the number PCGS auction give are top $126 clad(low $93) and $250(low $150) sliver from the major auctions. Ebay going a fair bit lower.
Yes PR not MS, sorry "my error". Well of course it all depends on grade but a quick glance at auction record links on PCGS shows anywhere from approximately $100 - $2800 (unfortunately they include error coins in there auction records). but with an estimated value of $225. and auction records such as... https://www.davidlawrence.com/rare-coin/394027
Likely if you take a look there is almost always on for sale so it is not a hard coin to find even in grade. Another issue is that bubble on high end modern busted
