    Hello All!

I am new to collecting coins and to this forum. I have a few pieces that I would like to post pic's of. How do I post pictures? I've read on here to use Photoshop...is that the best/only way?

    Thanks so much!

is good too! resizes and hosts pictures. Once that's done, use the insert image option in your post :)

I use both. Imageshack when I don't want/need to use the pic in more than one thread that probably won't turn into one of those huge threads, and Photobucket when I use it more than once or I'm putting it in a thread that'll be around a while.

Imageshack when I'm being lazy too, cause I don't have to log in or anything.

Great advice from the guys and you may want to do a search on this forum on how to upload photos. There are many threads.

One thing that I have discovered is something offered from Microsoft called powertoys image resizer......http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

If you have XP as an OS it's a great alternative to photobucket.

My apologies as I’m new and obviously struggling…would someone please share their expertise with coin listed below…the marking/etc. seem to align w/ articles I’ve read pertaining to the 1943 copper/bronze Lincoln cent BUt

    Hi and welcome to CT.
Once you have your images saved in a file you can use the Upload a File button at the bottom of your post, copy and paste is another alternative. It must be a format recognised by this Forums software, JPEG for example. The images need to be clear, well lit, in focus and of both obverse and reverse. Crop away all background leaving only the coin. Images are a must, no members here can give an accurate opinion without seeing the coin presented as I have stated above.
    Good luck

And don't use Photobucket to host your coins. They were good 12 years ago but that ain't the case now (new owners).
