From my limited research, "Loco Foco" refers to a faction of the Democratic party in New York. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locofocos
And the "Benton's Experiment / Mint Drop" refers to Senator Thomas Hart Benton, a supporter of President Jackson’s hard money policies. Mint drop was either a slang term for new lower weight gold coins, or a reference to Benton's monetary policies in general. I've seen conflicting explanations.
