For me personally, I think to myself, "I paid these guys money to grade my stuff, obviously I'm entitled to the grade I want."

While some may think me arrogant, I consider myself they expert when it comes to grading Jefferson Nickels. When the TPG graders disagree with my grade, they are the ones who have typically made the mistake.

That said, it is their opinion that the numismatic community respects, and I need their seal of approval to achieve the liquidity that I need in order to sell my coins. Am I tired of them? Absolutely, and my disdain has reached record levels over the last 6 months which has shown a level of inconsistent grading that I have never encountered before.

I totally agree with Paul...but this has been an issue for quite a long time.
I personally do not feel that the grading or the so called back up stickers to assure the grade is worth the money. I am very happy with the knowledge that I have learned over the time spent in the hobby to make a decision on the grading of a specimen.
I also personally that if there were more coin clubs, available to the YN's to learn about the hobby first hand from older collectors the hobby would be a better place.
When learning is made fun...its fun to learn!
One doesn't learn the coins grade by sending it in to a learns by doing, reading ,researching,
And respecting those whom can teach you .

Good prioritization. I know my kids have appreciated in value a lot more than any of my coins, and brought more satisfaction to boot. ;)

Not a coin, bought in a lot of five 1928 $1 silver certificates that came down to ~$20 a bill.

Series of '28 E. Little graffiti, but pretty nice shape. The other notes were just the icing on the cake.
