I collect Numismatic Medals and thought it would be nice to see some pictures. Louisiana Numismatic Associations silver medals are some of my favorites. Steve

(NOTE: There are 14 of these 3-medal sets, 1969-1982, but I wanted to post the 1972 first for Steve.) This is the 3-medal set for the 1969 ANA National Convention in Philadelphia. Chris Photos courtesy of Bob Campbell
NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL FANTASTIC MEDAL I THINK I HAVE DROP OFF FOR A MOMENT. IT IS JUST SO COOL I LOVE IT.
Thanks, Steve. I acquired it about 10 years ago when silver was less that $6/oz. I also have the same medal in bronze, but it took me another 6 years to find it. Chris
Well, if you like the U.S.S. Enterprise medal, then maybe you'll like this one. It's the same size and composition. 350th Anniversary of Santa Fe NOTE: Both the Enterprise and Santa Fe medals were struck in silver and bronze by the Medallic Art Co. of NY (MACO). Chris
I used to have that Canadian Mint medal with the dollar coins on it. I gave a bunch of my foriegn coins to the grand kids years ago. I wonder if one of them still has it? I might just have to see if I can get it back.
I like this set because of the train. 1995 ANA Cal. from Dutch Royal mint 60th Annv. Numismatic News - from Badger mint 2006 Columbia has the cool train
I really do enjoy medals. The majority of my American-made medals are about the size of yours....35-40mm. A few are about the size of the Santa Fe & Enterprise, but one is huge and produced by the US Mint for the 1876 Philadelphia Exhibition. I also have a lot of French, Belgian & Swiss medals from the 19th century that range in size from 45-90mm and jetons that are 25-38mm. Chris
