I am attending a coin show this Saturday and on my list to buy is a mid-grade 1794/1795/1796 Liberty Cap Large Cent. I want to see the highest grade or 'best' Large Cents you all have! --- I checked the master list and did not see a thread relating to large cents specifically (only copper). I only want to see nice coins!
I have a few early ones, but they are all low grade (meaning, in my price range). I do have a nice 1845 N10 I picked up from Tom Deck years ago... Love the looks of this one! 1845 1C N10 by BostonCoins posted Sep 17, 2014 at 10:37 AM
Is it graded? I'm interested to see what that coin grades. Very Nice! Very attractive coin! Coronet / Matron heads are one of my favorite coins.
Wow Bill... The Liberty Cap and Flowing hair cents are crazy beautiful! I only wish my piggy bank was bigger.... ahh... alas... just a dream...
Beautiful coin! Amazing die cracks. I've always been a fan of wild die cracks. Mainebill, you have some phenomenal coins as well! I really enjoyed seeing those pictures!
Probably one of my favorite coins in my collection, and definitely my nicest Large Cent, a stellar MS62 1820 Large Cent (probably from the Randall Hoarde) that I managed to snag for $450 over the summer. Most of the scratches/scuffs you see are on the slab, not the coin itself. I personally think it could make MS63, but I'm definitely not complaining about its current grade either.
