Oh this one is tough. I can't just pick one! I like the reverse of the first one and the obverse of the second one
My favorite is the one used as my avatar. Yes, it is an American coin. Yes, we are part of the world. So there. (ha)
my avatar coin. Belgium 10 centimes. gorgeous lion. the white haze is from the flash from the camera. this coin is much prettier in person. this is also my most expensive coin $750.00 this high grade is very rare. I love this coin. It is the king of my collection.
That's a beauty most be an improper alloy mixture, dam mint being cheap on the gold . I seen one of these at the fun show in Michigan ...
I love the coin and hae to wander that the Scottish shield was deliberately placed upside down with the rampant lion upright as some sort of political statement vis a vis the then political strife in Scotland during that time? The wax used was "sealing wax" - I have a few Scots coins, especially the really pricey gold coins that have traces of it left. It testifies to a coin having been loved and enjoyed a very long time.
If I remember correct, a gentle purchased it for 365 dollars and last time I seen him ( sunday ) it graded 55 NGC ....
I'll see him again the first week of April, it's are fun show again . The purple is just amazing on these coins . The owner brought it to the coneca table and wanted to make sure it was real, I knew exactly what it was .. Lucky you and him ....
My only coin from Malta and one of my favorite world coins in my collection. Really neat satin finish on this coin. Lot's of eye appeal .
