Post your "monster" toned coins

People's definitions of "monster" vary.

Here's one I call the Jolly Green Giant.




I call this next one "Watermelon Inversion", because the pink is on the outside and the green is on the inside. It was formerly pedigreed to the WingedLiberty "Color of Money" collection on the PCGS Registry.

Six months ago, if you told me I would be spending more than ten or twelve bucks on ANY Lincoln Memorial cent, I'd have told you you were nuts- I don't collect cents that modern. Well, never say never! Besides, this one was from my birthyear, so I had to have it.

I thought it might be one of those coins where the colors only "pop" in one direction, if you know what I mean. That it would look different in hand. Nope- this thing had plenty of pop the minute it came out of the mailer!

This French pattern from my "bygones" was definitely a monster.

 

Did someone say "dark"?

 

I wouldn't call it a monster, but this recent Jeffie pickup is certainly nice. And it was cheap.
