Just a thread for anything different and fun that would never be acceptable to TPGS.

    Here’s one I haven’t shown before

This is some coal money. I have some distant family that worked on this mine in Leyden Co.

The base metal was the value, I think that the kid and I need to go revisit the area mines hillside and open space. Might be fun again with the Detectors.

The one detector that my son is using loves the soil. I haven't tried the Fisher out there yet.

The fisher has been tough to figure and pinpoint objects. It rings pretty true though.

These multi-name counterstamps are fun to research, H8. There's usually some association between the the people but not always. The very common names make this one tough but the date would narrow things down a bit.

BTW, what kind of coin are the stamps on? I don't recognize it. Thanks.

Here's a Burned cent with a reverse stamp on the back. When I bought this 04/07/1996 I was told by the seller it's either trash or treasure. I have often thought about just tossing it in the trash but stop myself each time. 1796 cent obv..jpg 1796 cent rev..jpg

Here’s a love token that I picked up for under melt at a flea market near Jacksonville, Florida. Perhaps the most interesting thing about this particular coin is that when the engraving was done, this coin was already 85 years old.
