    I honestly believe it is the cheapest price ever PAID for a Gold coin in history... LOL
    I stipulated paid, because lucky people out there have found Gold coins for free.. I.E. Coinstars etc.

    I have several things that might apply.... My Canadian currency errors all cost me face $5 - $20 each and are valued at $250 - $1,000 per note (I have 14 different ones in total).

    I bought a small sack of coins for $2 from a co-worker and there were four quarters from the 50's and 60's and a 1962 dime as well as 1947 fifty cent piece (all Canadian) and a bunch of early pennies. She didn't want to take anymore even thought I offered her melt value for them. She said she didn't want to hang onto them anymore and that I would appreciate them more. I still owe her a favor.

    and

    the 1864 Sm Motto in G+ listed as a Lg motto.

    Not to count the dozen or so 1864 L Indian cents not listed as L's.
