Post what you got for Christmas. It can be from family, friends, or anybody even yourself. Show us what you got!
To go with the rest of this: I asked for the means of super-heating and super-compressing it to turn it into diamond
Ha! Or rather "ho ho ho". It is about 14.30 on 25 Dec here in NW, Germany, now - and we opened our presents in the evening of Christmas Eve (24 Dec), just like every year. Got an espresso maker which I actually had on my, hmm, wish list. Coins? Yeah, a nice one from the Vatican. Not my image but my coin looks suspiciously similar ... Christian
I'm in the U.S. and my family's tradition was opening all presents on Christmas Eve. Santa always made the stop by our house in the evening between 7 and 8 pm. German tradition.
A talking change bank. Tells you what denomination you put in and keeps a running total. Only denomination it doesn't have is the half dollar, since they're not made for circulation anymore. It takes the sacs and presidential dollars.
Merry Christmas, everyone !!! I got the greatest gift EVER... my daughter's safe return from a medical mission trip to Haiti / Dominican Republic ! She saw awesome things and did wonderful things for people who desperately need help, and richly deserve it. Thanks be to God for generous people around the world !
OK, This is what I got on Christmas year 1995, A Double Denomination of a cent and a dime with Two full dates obverse, since then I become to learn and studied all coins of USA, I subscribed a coin magazines, visit a local coin show talk to some professional numismatist in person, then buy a computer to connect to the internet and joined to coin forum on 1999 in error world. For the Past 16 years I think I consider now my self as Knowledgeable Numismatist. Merry Christmas to All....
I did that also, open my 25th ann. ase set that is. ALL the coins were excellent looking at them with a 5X mag.
I had a wonderful Christmas eve with my son. We went to see a movie (Adventures of Tintin) and afterwards drove around and looked at some of the lights and house decorations. That was fun. Then a quiet evening and a quiet Chrismas Day so far for me. I bought my son a box of nice chocolates and insisted he take them to his ship where he has duty today. We will have our Christmas dinner tomorrow night. My daughter and her husband are celebrating in Michigan, and the rest of the my kids' family (relatives on my daughter's husband's side and my ex's side, etc.) seem all to be fine. I had a great year this year on many fronts, and my gift to myself was this tree to hold an ornament holder I got this year, where I could put a picture in it. I chose to put a picture of one of my dogs - Hailey, who has been on the show circuit this year and now has ten Best of Breed awards behind her. I am looking forward to next year, which I hope will be "her year", and hopefully she will get into the top 20 of her breed for the country. I also look forward to continuing health for me, my family, and my friends. Plus I also bought me a Kindle Fire.
