Thanks. I have a few more raw SLQs that need to be imaged. Will try to post them soon. Nothing flashy like yours and Texas Jarhead's though. Beautiful coins guys.

Here is one of mine. I had this for Sale in the classified section a few weeks back. This is far more beautiful than my images suggest. It screams with luster.

awwww man the slq's...what a series...hard to get in AU+///// couple yrs ago tried to build up a collection of quarters. Have most of them still and one time wanted to buy a higher end slq. Went to the coin shop...picked out the best one they had (all raw) and bought it....I was suckered on that deal as it is XF-AU and cleaned so that its almost white, but live and learn...going to hang on to it for a while

The reason you cite is precisely why my collection is all in VF-XF. The natural grey/brown toning that manifests itself on a circulated SLQ allows me to more easily eliminate coins that have been dipped/cleaned. Also it's a lot less expensive to put together than a set in MS!

Plus I just like the look of the SLQ in those mid-grades. The toning brings out the detail even more to my eye.

I think these look better worn than in MS. Just my opinion though. They are beautiful coins either way. For my pic see my avatar. Its a 1925.

I also prefer them somewhat worn/circulation-toned, that is until I saw yours LeHigh...wow! Love the purple on her shoulder.
