In keeping with Aidan's post about the countries which issue them. Here's one I have from Kazakhstan composed of Silver and Tantalum. Let's see the ones you have. Take Care Ben
Ben,here's a link depicting some bimetallic private pattern Euro coins; http://ret001qm.erasmas.net/eu-ingle.htm . If you have got any 1 & 2 Euro coins, you can post photos of them here. Aidan.
Cindy,I figured that you'd post a photo of that commemorative Twoonie that you've reported for listing in both Charlton & Krause. Aidan.
Steve,I haven't yet got those Isambard Kingdom Brunel commemorative 2 Quid coins yet. Here's an article; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isambard_Kingdom_Brunel . Aidan.
Steve, thanks for telling us that they are the medal-coin versions.Have you had this year's 2 Quid commemoratives - the Union Tercentenary & the Slavery Abolition issues yet? Aidan.
Yep I have a Blue, Green & Red plus a Silvery one LOL Aidan they are valued the same as the circulated coinage & Legal tender do you realy want me to make you prove I cant spend it again!!
German Bimetal Medallion I have a bimetal medallion. It was released by Germany during the FAFA World Cup 2006. I have never seen any reference to this medallion on the net. Does any one else have one of these? And any idea whats the market value of this Its a silver and gold medal. But its not a legal tender.
Not seen this one before, but I am sure that someone will be around very soon who has can you post a pic of the other side?
Steve,I have got that South African 5 Rand coin.It is one of the nicest British Commonwealth bimetal coins that I have got. Aidan.
Hard to comment, sorry. This medal was probably marketed by MDM Samlerhuset, like all the other "official FIFA issues". If you go to this page http://www.fanandmore.de/fussballportal/de/dept_429.html and scroll down to "Fussball WM Münzen, offizielle Fussballmünzen zur FIFA WM 2006 (tm)", you will see a (tiny) picture of that medal. The link does not work though - you can click it, but all you will get is a "sorry, this item is sold out" notice. Germany issued four silver coins and one gold coin for the World Cup, but no medals. Also note that the eagle on your medal is not the German federal eagle which always looks left. This one looks to the right ... Guess what you have is a silver piece, partly gold plated - certainly a nice souvenir of the 2006 World Cup, but I cannot really say anything about its possible value ... Christian
