My father'a birth year coin. It made it easy for me to remember.

Really easy for me! Both of my parents were born in 1974. Here is one of my 1974 S 40 percent Ikes.
This one I grabbed nearly a decade ago, one of my first silvers.

I since have gotten another which my grandmother found, it was the one she bought for my fathers birth. I don't have that one here at school, but it is home and it makes it a little more special to me.

Since I am a genealogist, maybe I should make a coin-tree. Birthyears of each ancestor using coins which were circulating at the time of their birth.

Both my Parents were born in 1938, not an easily forgotten year.
This is the only coin I have for that year. Came out a bit fuzzy, sorry

EDIT: Some of the text didn't attach. It was 1 year before WW2 started and both my parents were born in and near London, by the time they were 4 they had been taken to a farm in Wales until the end of the war.

One of them. Don't have a coin for the other parent. Really old pics. Coincidentally the coin came from my grandfather, which I guess will be the next thread. :)

Both my mother and father were born in 1917, two weeks apart.
I had this printed and framed for my mother.
I have another set that I keep on my desk so I can see it at all times.

This is from my personal set.

Dad has either the cent or the quarter in 1932. Don't have a 32 quarter and my 32 Cent is not that nice. So went World for dad. Polish_20210308_211434544.jpg

I always wanted to complete a birth year/mint set to gift to my father but couldn't complete it before he died in '02. 1921 is a tough year to complete. He was born in Missouri. I have 39 1921 coins. Also tried the same with my late mother... 1923. 1921 Missouri half dollar_2.jpg This one was a must have.
