So, as a coin collector and coin roll hunter that does have an affinity for the errors and oddities, one could drive themselves literally insane attempting to become farmiliar with, let alone aquire an example of all the little "errors" and variations associated with the post 1999 state, dc, and territorial quarters. So then, at this point is there any kind of list or consensus on which oddities are worth hunting down? Obviously ones like the Wisconsin extra corn leaves and the dc duke ellington are some of the more well known and valueable, but which others would be considered prestigious enough to be remembered, cared about, retain value and be sought after in the future? Thanks for your insight!!!

Don't think there is any specific error list on state quarters... maybe some error dealers do. For retaining value, I think eye candy comes first. What I mean is, under the same "off center" category, a 50% off center coin looks better, in my opinion, than a 5% off center. Here are 2 in my collection. I think they are more fun than the extra Wisconsin corn leaves.

There was an interesting story on "60 Minutes" last night about a retired Michigan couple who discovered a simple math error that allowed them to make millions and millions of dollars by playing a certain Michigan Lottery game, and when state officials caught on to the error, they shut the game down.

Then, the same couple was given the "heads up" on a similar game being run in Massachusetts, so they started playing it. Eventually, Massachusetts officials caught on to that one, too, and shut it down.

In both cases, the couple wasn't doing anything illegal, and both states were still making a goodly profit from those games, but they were afraid that more and more people would discover the same loophole which enabled this couple to win millions and that is why they shut the games down.

Not surprisingly, this segment of "60 Minutes" that aired last night actually happened quite a few years ago. You don't really think that this couple would reveal their secret to umpteen millions of viewers if they were still playing those games, do you?

So, my point is, "There is no bucket list for worthwhile errors!" You'll have to do some homework on your own.
