Possible technique to get high quality macro pics at a very low cost

I found this thread on reddit and thought that honest traders who wanted to give highly detailed pics of their damaged/error coins could use this tip. I don't have a laser pointer lying around, but I'm planning on picking one up for this reason. Cheers!
