    Hi everyone, A possible Nigrinianus?

The inscription DIVO NIGRINIANO for the obverse fits well although a few letters are pitted or bubbled into a metalic rock. The portriat (of what I can see) matches very well with a few coins I searched online.

For the reverse CONSECRATIO is all there, its hard to see the eagle on the pic but much better in hand.

    22.5 mm

All my possible inscription searches "ONIG", "ONIC" etc.... plus the consecratio reverse with eagle has lead me down this path.

Any idea's on another possible ID???

    Thanks in advance
    Charles

Yes, its a coin of Nigranian, CONSECRATIO reverse with an eagle. Better than the usual uncleaned find. Good catch.

It has been cleaned, quite a bit in fact. There is still some more to do on the coin but some areas will pit badly if pick too much.

was the the third brother who died? Carinus had two sons who succeeded him, Carianous and Numarian one of whom was overthrown by Diocletian
