Possible Roosevelt RPM

    This one’s tough. I’ve always had a hard time with Roosevelt dime RPMs and telling if they are actually there or not.

    Hopefully you see what I see to the east of the mintmark. What do you think? Worn die problems or RPM?

    I'm thinking die deterioration doubling.

    Ah okay! I had a sneaking suspicion about that too. Curious if others agree, but I think you're right.

    Definitely die deterioration. Look to the other devices on the coin, if they show the same type of doubling then it is not an RPM.
    Clad dimes are notorios for showing DDD.
    They are rarely found with Doubled dies or RPM's.
