Possible Renaissance Italian Coin

    Hi Everyone,

So about 4 years ago I was at the Boboli Gardens in Florence. And I literally kicked up some dirt and out popped what appears to be an old coin. It's very thin, and very worn, but it appears to show the remnants of the Medici coat of arms.

Other than that, it seems like pretty much all the identifying marks are long since worn off.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything like this or maybe has any idea what it might be. I have no idea if it's a 400 year old coin from Renaissance Florence or if it's a 20 year old tourist souvenir that someone dropped. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

(Image attached, I hope. I boosted the contrast to try to bring out any features that there might be, so the color and tint might be a little bit off.)
